Sunshine Coast Cruise to Princess Louisa Inlet and Return
A thirteen-day cruise north along the Sunshine Coast, into Princess Louisa Inlet and other spectacular spots nearby, and then returning south to Vancouver to tie in with the Vancouver (False Creek) Cruise.
The initial itinerary is:
July 21, Gibson's
Meet at Gibson's Marina, a good stop for provisioning. Can be reached by land or ferry from Horseshoe Bay if meeting friends or crew. Chart Hour 5:30 PM, Restaurant for dinner together tba. Shoreside lodging available.
July 22, Smuggler's Cove Marine Park
Anchor (with stern tie). Explore shoreline and peaceful coves with kayaks or dinghies. Chart hour, followed by BBQ.
July 23-25, Garden Bay, Pender Harbor
Pilothouse Marina. Hiking, Dinghy and kayak exploration, shopping at Madiera, restaurants. Painted Boat Resort for dinner and swimming, etc. Anchoring options available. Shoreside lodging available.
July 26, Egmont
Bathgate Marina. Top up fuel (last chance for three days). Hike to Skookumchuck Narrows. Chart hour, followed by dinner at West Coast Wilderness Lodge. Shoreside lodging available.
July 27-28, Princess Louisa Inlet
Anchor (with stern tie) or dock at Chatterbox Falls, if lucky. Hike around falls, enjoy scenery and serenity. Chart hours and BBQ on shore at picnic tables. Explore shoreline by dinghy or kayak; swimming and snorkeling. Camping available.
July 29, Egmont
Bathgate Marina. Re-provision, hiking. Chart hour. Shoreside lodging available.
July 30, Harmony Islands Marine Park
Anchor (with stern tie). Enjoy park via kayak or dinghy. Hike Big Harmony Island, swimming and snorkeling. Camping available.
July 31, Hardy Island Marine Park
Anchor (with stern tie). Hiking, shoreline exploration. Chart hour.
August 1, Secret Cove
Secret Cove Marina. Provisions, fuel, restaurants. Hiking and cove exploration. Anchoring available. Prepare to either return to the Gulf Islands, or continue to Vancouver to meet up with the Vancouver (False Creek) Cruise, which will arrive in Vancouver on August 3.
