Event: 2020 Seattle Boat Show Cruise
We Have Fun!
January 29, 2020 ends January 30, 2020
Seattle Boat Show Cruise Jan. 29-30th
A question for you—do you like boats? Well, if so, then come on down to the LARGEST BOAT SHOW on the West Coast, this January 29th and 30th.
We will be staying at the very comfortable Silver Cloud Inn on Lake Union (reduced rates!)—which is located just about 3 blocks from Chandler’s Cove, which holds the Boats Afloat portion of the show.
Afterwards, you can leave your car safely parked at the hotel and take the Free Boat Show Shuttle to the Century Link Field and Event Center to drool over the indoor exhibits of shiny trawlers, speedboats, dinghies, etc —plus take advantage of the FREE CLASSES on every boating topic you can shake a boat hook at, from how to cruise to Alaska, how to catch a fish, how to manage your diesel and electrical systems, navigation, docking, and on and on – you can find the class list here: https://seattleboatshow.com/seminars/
Also, in case you haven’t been there lately, the South Lake Union district is now abuzz with restaurants, bars, and is only steps away from the Center for Wooden Boats and a number of historic ships. Also, there is easy light rail service that will take you directly downtown, in case you haven’t already spent enough $$ at the boat show!
But the absolute highlight of this year’s the Boat Show Cruise will take place Thursday night, January 30th, when our own Wes Heinmiller and his beautiful 68’ Hatteras yacht “North Light” will pick up the Orcas Yacht Club contingent and take us on a lovely twilight tour of Lake Union and the Ship Canal that will end at the elegant Queen City Yacht Club for an wonderful catered dinner, with the live entertainment by the incredible jazz singer Josephine Howell. Not bad, eh?
Yes, it will be a night to remember, and will most definitely shake off any winter blues that might have accumulated by late January! Costs of the hotel will be about $150 night, which you will book directly. Cost of the Thursday evening dinner and entertainment at the Queen City Yacht Club will be in the neighborhood of $68 per person. More details to come!
